Hadia spent two decades working across some of the most demanding and varied industries — finance, stock markets, construction, publications, education, interiors and AI. She graduated in Design, giving her an instinct for how things should work as much as how they should look. Cross-disciplinary thinking is not a background quirk, it is the foundation of how Mijam was built.
As a busy professional and mother, she felt the customer problem personally. She watched skilled independent workers — many of them women — go undervalued with no digital route to build a structured business. She saw the data gap: a significant volume of informal service activity, completely invisible to the systems that could use it to plan better.
Hadia holds settled status in the UK, granted on the legacy Innovator route in three years — one of a small number of founders to have secured ILR in that time, without extensions or deferrals. She built Pluggerzz the same way: methodically, patiently, from the ground up.
